CBD: side effects and contraindications

CBD is a natural product considered safe and consumable without adverse health impacts. Indeed, the World Health Organization (WHO) officially declared that CBD was neither harmful nor addictive. However, like all consumables, there are some (rare) side effects and some contraindications. L’ABC du CBD light you up.

Rare side effects

CBD-based products have very few side effects, and these are mostly very rare. Indeed, CBD is a natural product that is considered safe and consumable without adverse health impacts, andWHO officially stated that CBD was neither harmful nor addictive. But among the few side effects, we can identify:

- nausea

- somnolence

- a dry mouth

- minor gastrointestinal problems

It should be noted that in normal conditions of use and in accordance with the recommended doses, there is no secondary effect on CBD. If you experience side effects after eating CBD-based products, and in case of doubt, consult a doctor.

Can we be allergic to CBD?

Yes... but it's extremely rare! Marijuana is a plant that produces pollen. It is therefore the pollen that can cause (rare) allergy cases. But don't panic! Only male marijuana plants are capable of producing pollen. And because of their poor performance compared to female plants, it is rare to find them in production. Therefore, there is virtually no pollen in the consumption stage. The risk of allergy is therefore very limited or even virtually non-existent.

Contraindications to CBD capture

The only contraindication to CBD seizures known to date concerns pregnant women. Indeed, although CBD is not a psychotropic molecule like THC,

we have not yet enough in-depth studies to judge whether or not CBD

is beneficial or dangerous to the health of the newborn.

For the health of your future child, it is better not to take any risk until more concrete studies have been carried out.

Smoking (from CBD or other) during pregnancy is bad for your child's health. If you really want to consume CBD-based products during your pregnancy, move instead to CBD-based oils and creams (of course after consulting your doctor!).
